Hi mama!
Welcome to WorkingMomBook.com!
I’m Lekha, a working mom, multitasker, and tea enthusiast navigating the wild (and often messy) journey of balancing a career and motherhood. If that also sounds like your life, you’ve found your person.
This blog is a space for moms like you and me—moms juggling meetings and playdates, work deadlines and school projects, self-care and family time—and still wondering how to find more hours in the day.
I started this blog because I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to manage it all. From trying to rock my job to figuring out what’s for dinner, I feel like I’m barely keeping my head above water some days. But over time, I’ve learned that it’s not about perfection—it’s about making it work in a way that feels right for you and your family. I hope that WorkingMomBook.com will inspire, encourage, and empower you to do just that.
My Story
Let me take you back a little bit. When I became a mom, I had no idea how much it would change me. Motherhood brought so much joy and love, but it also brought challenges I never expected. Suddenly, I was trying to manage late-night feedings, endless laundry, and a demanding job, all while trying to hold onto my sense of self. It was a lot.
There were times I felt like I was failing—at work, at home, and even at being a mom. But what I realized is that I’m not alone in feeling that way. So many of us are out here doing our best to balance the many roles we play, and it’s not always pretty. That’s why I decided to create WorkingMomBook.com to share what I’ve learned, connect with other moms, and remind all of us that we’re not alone in this journey.
Now, I’m here to share my experiences, both the wins and the mistakes, along with practical tips and ideas to help you feel more confident, more supported, and maybe even a little less stressed. Because let’s be honest, we could all use a little less stress.
Why I Started This Blog
I started WorkingMomBook.com for a simple reason: I wanted to create the resource I wish I had when I was figuring all this out. When you’re a working mom, there’s no manual to tell you how to balance work, family, and self-care. Most days, you’re just trying to make it to bedtime. But I believe that with the right tools, support, and mindset, we can find balance—even if it looks a little different for each of us.
This blog is my way of sharing what’s worked for me, what hasn’t, and everything I’ve learned along the way. It’s also a place for us to have honest conversations about the challenges of being a working mom. Because let’s face it: sometimes it’s hard, and that’s okay. You’re not alone, and you don’t have to do it alone.
